  • Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) is an extension of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) adapted for animals. It is a holistic approach that has been practiced for thousands of years in China, that aims to restore balance and harmony within the body by addressing the root causes of disease. Based on principles like Qi (vital energy), Yin-Yang balance, and the Five Elements theory, TCVM uses acupuncture, herbal medicine, and food therapy to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. It is often used alongside conventional veterinary care to support overall wellness and manage chronic issues such as pain, digestive problems, and skin disorders. It’s commonly used to manage chronic pain, arthritis, digestive disorders, skin problems, and neurological issues in pets. While often used alongside Western veterinary care, TCVM emphasizes treating the root cause of illness, not just symptoms, and aims to support the animal’s overall well-being.

    • Acupuncture (Dry Needling) - a form of acupuncture that uses thin, solid needles to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying trigger points, muscles, or connective tissue—usually to relieve pain or improve mobility.

    • Electroacupuncture - is a form of acupuncture where a mild electric current is passed between pairs of acupuncture needles. This enhances the stimulation of the acupuncture points, helping to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and promote healing more effectively than manual needling alone. It's commonly used for conditions like arthritis, nerve injuries, and muscle spasms in both humans and animals.

    • Aqua-acupuncture is a technique in which a small amount of liquid—such as saline, or vitamins is injected into acupuncture points using a syringe and needle. This provides prolonged stimulation of the point compared to dry needling, as the fluid creates pressure and activates the area over time.

*Please read more about acupuncture on our blog section!

    • Companion Animal Laser - also known as Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy, is a non-invasive treatment that uses focused light energy to stimulate healing in pets. The laser penetrates tissues without generating heat, promoting cellular regeneration, reducing inflammation, and relieving pain by increasing blood flow and stimulating natural healing processes. It’s commonly used for osteoarthritis, soft tissue injuries, abdominal diseases such as Inflammatory Bowel disease and pancreatitis, post-surgical recovery, and Degenerative Joint Disease. Pets often find it soothing, and treatments are quick, painless, and require no sedation.
